Old Town | Edinburgh

The picturesque and historically rich centre of Edinburgh is made up of buildings from the medieval and reformation eras.

The Old Town is positioned between two instantly recognisable and historic buildings with the Castle towering above at one end and the majestic Holyrood Palace at the other, with the famous Royal Mile running through it.

The area is navigable via the numerous minor streets, known as 'closes' as well as playing hose to a number of large squares that often play host to street-performers during the world famous Edinburgh Festival.

At the heart of the city the Old Town has a fantastic choice of shops, restaurants and bars of the highest standard for you to explore.
